On January 26-27, 2011 Oregon’s Coastal Training Program Program in coordination with DSL’s Wetlands and Waterways Conservation Division presented a coastal management workshop about estuaries, habitat restoration, and mitigating the impacts of shoreline development. About 40 coastal management professionals, including staff of the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Department, the Department of State Lands, Department of Transportation, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers attended the training, which included classroom lectures Jan. 26 in Salem, and a field tour of restoration projects, mitigation sites, and shoreline development in the Yaquina Bay.
